Device circuit breakers win approval

Extending range of applications adds versatility and flexibility

Device circuit breakers win approval

Narrow, single-channel PTCB circuit breakers from Phoenix Contact are now available with approval for Hazardous Locations Class I, Div. 2 Groups A, B, C, D, Temperature Class T4.

That means these devices can also be used in Ex areas (Division 2) with briefly occurring gases and vapours.

The products are tested in accordance with the UL 121201 standard and have the cULus-listed logo. Extending the range of applications has made them extremely versatile in conjunction with a high level of flexibility.

“Thanks to their space-saving overall width of 6 mm, these devices offer reliable protection from overload and short-circuit current in tight spaces,” states Phoenix Contact.

The portfolio of the PTCB narrow electronic circuit breakers covers a broad spectrum of requirements, from products with adjustable or fixed nominal currents, or a remote reset function to special challenges for applications in accordance with NEC class 2.
