Digidrive SK variable speed drives cover 0.25-132kW

Easy to use and modular, the Digidrive SK range from Leroy Somer now covers the power range from 0.25-132kW. Models are available with normal or heavy-duty ratings, and with operating voltages of 110, 240, 400, 575 and 690V.

The Digidrive SK is excellent for applications such as handling (particularly conveyors), packaging and packing, food processing, pumping, ventilation, stirring and winding/unwinding. Moreover, thanks to its performance in open-loop vector control mode and its advanced brake control, the Digidrive SK is suitable for hoisting applications and any application requiring high torque at the motor shaft.

Combining simplicity of purpose with sophistication of design, the Digidrive SK is easy to set up via its front fascia. LED or LCD type display units, which can be remotely located up to 30m away, are also available with local control functions.

Its innovative and compact design makes it one of the smallest drives in its category. Up to 1.5kW, it can be fixed directly on to a DIN rail or with screws using the predrilled holes. Wiring is easy, with plenty of space around the terminal blocks, and the control connectors have flexible blades.

Quick commissioning

Leroy Somer says that the Digidrive SK's factory-set configuration has been 'optimised to allow instantaneous commissioning in most situations'.

The Digidrive SK can also cut the overall cost of the installation as a result of numerous built-in functions, including logic functions, comparators, motorised potentiometer and a PID regulator. In addition, a real-time clock, preset speed scan timer and control for an external encoder are available through optional modules.

A Logicstick (programming key) makes it simple to add an automation program or a standard application program (pump management, for example).

Communication via a serial link cable, operator dialogue, or control via a fieldbus are all possible. All major fieldbus communications are supported through add-on modules, with additional I/O also available through other add-on modules.
