Digital controller suits feeders used for parts that vary

Elscint's FQ1_DIG is a digital frequency controller that optimises the operation of vibratory feeders by varying the frequency and the vibration amplitude, with or even without using an amplitude sensor. Furthermore, the possibility of adjusting the frequency allows for compensation of the slipping phenomenon that happens due to the variation of the system's mechanical characteristics, attributable to different materials or temperatures, in order to obtain the best performance in every situation. In addition to this, there is a built-in relay for the vibrator ON status, which can control an overfull or other PNP sensor with a 0-20s delay.

The versatility of the Elscint_FQ1_DIG makes it suitable many applications where the dimensions and weights of the parts handled are subject to frequent changes. Frequency regulation is within a range of 5-140 Hz (controlled within 0-1Hz).

With regulation circuits that are galvanically insulated from the power source, the controller is able to deliver 200V at a maximum current of 6 or 10A (rms) and a ramp start-up (soft start function) and is provided with a very user-friendly menu.

The regulation system is based on a microprocessor and allows a wide linear control range. The system can also operate with a SIND3 amplitude sensor for compensating for the vibrator's load changes (change in the number of components in the bowl feeder) or supply voltage. The control menu is very easy to operate and even a layman can programme/operate this controller.

The Elscint FQ1_DIG comes in a very compact size of 200 x 240 x 100 mm.

This controller is extremely useful when there is a frequent change between genset and the electricity received from the utility. For old vibratory feeders that perform poorly, this controller can help to achieve higher speeds. Furthermore, as the controller can be programmed to work at the optimum frequency of the vibratory feeder, it can be used for achieving very high speeds in special applications.
