Digital multimeter can be programmed remotely
Telonic Instruments is introducing the Rigol Technologies DM 3068 digital multimeter, describing it as a new high-performance, low-cost instrument for for professional engineers. It has a clear, 6.5-digit read display for ease of us, plus it incorporates software options for data logging and remote programming from almost any interface. This quality instrument is designed to measure DCV, ACV, DCI, ACI, Resistance (two- and four-wire), capacitance, frequency and temperature, and it can also test diodes.
Real-time measurement trending or histograms can be viewed from the front panel and there are built-in comprehensive configurations for a variety of temperature sensors. The following interfaces are included as standard: GPIB, USB, RS-232, and LXI-C (Ethernet). Furthermore, the DM 3068 features a minimum integration time of 0.006 PLC for more than 8000 measurements per second, with true RMS AC voltage and current measurements.
This compact yet rugged instrument measures 107mm x 231.6mm x 290.5mm and weighs only 3.2kg, so it is easily transportable. It is also provided with rubber corner pads for added protection.
Telonic says the DM 3068 is suitable for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) who embed DC or AC measurements into an end product or test system, educational laboratories, and cost-conscious test and measurement facilities. Prices start at 521 plus carriage, which represents excellent value.
