Digital signage specialist at Manchester's Kiosk Summit North

Distec Ltd will be exhibiting at this year's Kiosk Summit North at the Etihad Stadium, Manchester, on October 19, 2016. The company will be exhibiting products for advertising and retail applications, which are supplied by its partners Elo Touch Solutions and Nexcom, from stand 7 in the Legends suite at the Etihad Stadium.

Distec will be exhibiting a number of products that address the rising demand for digital infrastructure in commercial environments, such as Nexcom's NDiS range of digital signage players and the I-Series of point-of-sale computers from Elo Touch Solutions.

The NDiS range of Nexcom digital signage players is suitable for advertising display networks, with support for single and dual displays. Each product offers flexible integration with peripherals such as scanners and touchscreen displays and is powered by Intel processors with low power consumption.

These products can be used in combination with the Elo displays that Distec will also feature on the stand. The displays, which are part of Elo's 90-series, feature a slim design, fitted with energy-saving LEDs to reduce costs. To deliver required performance in both industrial and retail applications, the screens are readily sealed against contaminants such as dust and liquid and provide accurate touch responsiveness.

Noel Sheppard, a director at Distec explains: "Digital kiosks have recently become increasingly popular in both commercial and industrial environments. While many commercial retailers have used kiosks to manage processes for a number of years, industrial businesses are relatively new to this technology and are using it to improve the effectiveness of operational processes.

"At Distec, we use events such as Kiosk Summit North to showcase the many ways that kiosk technology is changing the way commercial businesses operate. There is currently a societal trend for hands-on and self-service technology, so it is important that managers ensure their business, whether it is retail or industrial, successfully adapts to this shift. This can only be done with extensive knowledge of the legal and technical requirements of sectors or through specialist advice."

Kiosk Summit North brings together kiosk manufacturers and vendors from sectors spanning advertising, healthcare, industrial and retail. The event presents the opportunity for distributors such as Distec to network with manufacturers, as well as for businesses to learn about the efficiency and financial benefits of digital kiosks.

Plant and facilities managers interested in learned about the range of commercial and industrial kiosks that Distec distributes can speak with the company on stand 7 at the event on October 19, 2016. Alternatively, visit the company's website at www.distec.co.uk.
