Discounts available on USB measurement technology

HBM is offering discounts on its espressoDAQ series of USB measuring amplifiers to universities as part of its continued drive to support engineering training. The discounts are in line with HBM's comprehensive university discount policy for specific models that can be as high as 35 per cent on some products, subject to terms and conditions.

The highly portable espressoDAQ USB measuring amplifiers are measurement tools suitable for training engineering students at universities or in industry. The compact amplifiers can be readily used at different laboratory stations with individual modules directly supplied with voltage via the USB interface so that a separate power supply is not necessary.

HBM's amplifiers are based on the "plug & measure' principle, enabling students to rapidly obtain measurement results. The transducers can also be set up directly on site by connection with an RJ45 connector. The modules work with carrier frequency technology and have A/D converters with a resolution of 24Bit, enabling high measured data quality. A range of measurements from either four or eight channels, depending on the module type, including individually configurable current or voltage inputs, strain gauge inputs and thermocouples can be synchronously acquired.

EspressoDAQ modules are delivered together with simple-to-operate software to facilitate configuration, data acquisition and visualisation. Students therefore need to implement just a few steps to obtain measurements that can then be easily exported in most current formats.
