Double-beam safety light curtain reduces nuisance trips

Jokab Safety's new Focus double-beam unit differs from the company's other light beams in that it has double beams at each position. This prevents unnecessary production stoppages caused by particles such as wood chips and dirt triggering the protection.

For a Focus to react, both beams in the same position must be breached. This means that the protection is not triggered by small particles flying by. This is an advantage in, for example, the wood industry, where airborne sawdust or chips can lead to production stoppages when single beams are used.

In other respects the double-beam Focus has the same functions as its single-beam sister. It is easy to install and is cost-effective since most functions are integrated. As standard there are inputs for muting (partial or complete bypassing) and monitoring of the muting lamp. Every Focus unit can be preset for either manual or automatic resetting.

To protect Focus units from direct collisions, and thus prevent unnecessary material damage and halts in production, Bjorn is available. This is a flexible stand system that can be used to protect Focus units in heavy industry applications.
