Easy access heatsink electronics enclosures
Easy internal access is the novel feature of interlocking heatsink enclosures now available online from Astrosyn. The HSK extruded aluminium kits consist of two sliding channels together with end panels. Simple to assemble and use, the innovative design provides easy access to fitted electronics modules for test probes or component adjustment in situ.
The free-standing or 3U rack mount models provide a rugged, low thermal impedance housing for sensitive electronics. The standard units are large enough to house a toroidal transformer of up to 100VA.
Eurocard boards can slide into internal card guides, enabling multiple high power devices to be attached to the heatsink section of the vertical wall with an M3 screw and half nut, with no need for drilling.
Two boards can be mounted within the black anodised enclosure, and standard spacers can be used to support heavy components.
Available in 160mm or 220mm lengths, they have a normal wall thickness of 2mm, increasing to 7mm adjacent to power devices. Internal and external M4 nut "T' slots are provided for mounting.
