eCatalogue for customised standard components from Misumi
Misumi is promoting its eCatalogue that enables machine builders to select and configure customised standard components with dimensions specified to within 0.01mm and in quantities from one upwards.
Misumi's virtual catalogue contains more than one million mechanical components for special machine construction and automation technology. It is available at www.misumi-europe.com under "Catalogs". Machine builders can also choose between materials, surface treatments and processing options. As a special service, the component drawings are available for download as 2D/3D CAD data.
The "My pag" function is useful for purchasing staff as a connecting link between the eCatalog and the Web Ordering System (WOS). It allows users to manage customer data, place orders or obtain quotations. In addition, it is possible to display all past orders and quotations. The "My components" and "My product categories" functions help design engineers to save frequently used product categories or part numbers for easy retrieval. To speed up the selection and ordering process, bookmarks can be used to flag frequently needed product pages in the eCatalog.
From the product configuration function in the eCatalog, the user can switch directly to the Web Ordering System (WOS). Prices and delivery times for each selected part are then displayed immediately. There are no hidden extra costs, minimum order values or extra charges for small quantities.
Direct availability of 18,000 articles ensures fast delivery. The extensive warehouse inventory allows same-day dispatch of orders placed via the special e-mail address [email protected]. More than 100,000 individually configurable make-to-order components (MTO) are sent from the logistics centre within a period of only four days.
