EdgeCAM and Yamazaki Mazak Danmark have formed a strategic partnership to co-operate on the successful implementation of new production machining techniques for milling, turning and mill/turn applications, to ensure they continue to meet demands of the manufacturing industry.
Simon Lee, EdgeCAM's international sales director, explains: "This announcement has been made in recognition of the well-established and successful business relationship between us. For some time now, Yamazaki Mazak Danmark has been using our CAM system to carry out cutting trials on customer-specific projects. This collaboration enables customers to fully understand the benefits of Mazak machine tools and greatly illustrates the importance of pre-production planning such as program optimisation and machining simulation."
This long-term technology partnership has involved an independent EdgeCAM reseller in Denmark, Edge-Team, which has provided a number of software licences for implementation in Yamazaki Mazak Danmark's technical facilities in the Sealand and Jutland regions of Denmark.
Director Kim Nielsen says: "We have been working with EdgeCAM for several years now and appreciate the mutual benefits from this agreement in terms of joint marketing activities and the sharing of technical expertise. The power and flexibility of EdgeCAM means that cooperation - especially on new technical aspects - proves invaluable to both parties.
"The partnership also provides Yamazaki Mazak Danmark with guidance on EdgeCAM product direction, ensuring customers have a long-term, reliable and intuitive solution that will provide the highest level of return on their investment."
