Eight new product launches from CamdenBoss at Electronica 2016

CamdenBoss is launching a host of new products at Electronica 2016 (8-11 November 2016, Messe, Munich) including DIN Rail mounted terminal blocks, IP68 connectors, integrated LED panel mount indicators with test circuits, control enclosures, control switches, ultrasonic transducers and solar panels. The new products will be shown alongside the company's range of terminal blocks offering both VDE and UL approvals, DIN Rail instrument and module boxes, and Flat Sheet Plastic Technology (FSPT) enclosures.

In the DIN Rail zone, CamdenBoss will show a new high quality range of DIN Rail mounted terminal blocks designed for use in home automation and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. Available in 5.00mm and 5.08mm pitch flanged and non-flanged versions, the new terminal blocks offer vertical and horizontal orientations with 6 to 12 poles as standard (up to 24 available on special order), six ranges in seven pole sizes and UL approval. The DIN Rail mounting system accommodates both 35mm top hat and 32mm G-rails as standard.

Also in the DIN Rail zone will be examples of the company's CDIB instrument box range available in two heights; the versatile CNMB module box range; CVB Plus vertical boxes and products fitted with a new style DIN Rail adaptor.

A new range of IP68 connectors is also to be launched and includes in-line and panel mount connectors, T-connectors and junction boxes. These heavy duty, waterproof, robust connectors offer high quality at low cost with an integrated terminal block design so there are no small parts that might be dropped, making them well suited for field cable-joining applications. Colour-coded screws/terminals make installation easier while Braille points facilitate installation in low light conditions.

A new range of integrated panel mount indicators is also being shown featuring test circuits to provide high product integrity. Suitable for use in safety critical applications, the integrated test circuit enables self-testing functions to be incorporated into panel designs that need to prevent operation in the event of indicator failure on critical functions.

Control enclosures

Also on show will be a new range of one, two and three-button control enclosures available in standard and compact sizes. All enclosures are IP65 rated in flame-retardant yellow and grey ABS as standard. They can be supplied with or without an internal DIN Rail and feature knockouts to accommodate PG 13.5 or ISO 20 glands. The single-button box has a 12mm knockout in base while the two and three-button versions have two 16mm knockouts in base.

A new range of control switches will be on display and will include a complete range of switch elements, base plates, indicator modules and actuators. Very cost-competitive, these two and three-position rotary actuators offer key switches, key-release emergency stops, illuminated switches in various styles and colours, 2-way switches with or without illumination and comply with IEC 947-5-1 and EN 60 947-5-1. CamdenBoss control switches feature metal bases as standard with plastic bases available on request.

CamdenBoss is also launching a comprehensive range of high-quality UK-manufactured solar panels including standard and super lightweight versions. Available on short lead times with full technical support in the UK, the panels are based on RoHS compliant, high-quality solar cells while flexible ISO9001 and ISO14001-certified UK manufacturing allows custom product options.

The company is also exhibiting a new range of industry-standard 40kHz ultrasonic transducers providing a very cost-competitive option with fast delivery. Transmitter and receiver variants are available.

CamdenBoss's terminal block range - CamBlock Plus - will also be shown for the first time. Offering all the benefits of the company's original CTB series terminal blocks, the new CamBlock Plus range is useful where European approvals are required but where price is also an important factor.

CamBlock Plus is available in over 45 styles encompassing both PCB and pluggable configurations, and the company holds stocks in the UK and Asia to support manufacturers wherever they are based with fast delivery and competitive prices.

CamBlock Plus complements CamdenBoss's UL approved CamBlock range of commercial terminal blocks that offers customers the choice of solid or interlocking options in standard and low-profile packages featuring double interlocking mechanisms for increased strength and polarisation as standard for pluggable types. Unlike other low-cost products on the market, CamBlock terminal blocks ensure no pitch run-out in higher pole sizes and are designed for low-cost, high-volume applications.

Examples of the company's FSPT custom enclosures will also be on display. These encompass high-quality plastic enclosures, housings, covers and panels manufactured without tooling charges to customers' precise specifications. Joining together CamdenBoss's years of engineering expertise, precision CNC machining and innovative assembly techniques, design concepts can be turned into reality rapidly and inexpensively to help speed new products to market. FSPT is well suited to low and medium batch quantities from 5 to 5000+ for both simple and highly complex enclosure designs.

CamdenBoss is exhibiting at Electronica 2016 on stand 149 in Hall B1. Go to www.camdenboss.com for further information.
