Elmo Application Studio makes motion control implementation easy

Elmo is launching EASII, the second generation of Elmo 's Application Studio that "˜walks you through' the entire machine 's motion control implementation, placing the full power of Elmo 's knowledge at your fingertips. Windows-based EASII shortens development time by providing simple-to-use, fully automated configuration, tuning and motion tools for field engineers. EASII is suitable for use both by motion newcomers or veteran servo control experts. Regardless of servo drive and feedback types, the number of axes in motion or which network is used, EASII unifies all machine communication, motion and programming, and provides tools to streamline your entire implementation process.

Elmo is offering login access to its EASII Experience RPS, enabling anyone to experience first-hand the many automatic tuning and intuitive motion tools provided by Elmo 's newest Application Studio. The remote system will be released within the near future.

Among these tools is the EASII Quick Tuning Wizard. In minutes, EASII automatically performs expert motion testing and makes all required servo drive adjustments. A process that once demanded an experienced motion control engineer can now be performed by anyone with a basic knowledge of the machine.

After burn-in, EASII simplifies refining the entire motion control process with features such as network auto-configuration, automatic mechanical load adjustment, easy dual loop tuning, and an unprecedented range of advanced motion control features.

Haim Monhait, CEO of Elmo Motion Control, says: "EASII is the fastest and easiest way to reach optimum machinery motion goals. We created it to bring our 25 years of motion control experience to any machine designer, and make their work a lot simpler."

EASII can also reduce the need for custom programming during application development. A comprehensive design environment, EASII integrates all the tools needed to develop and debug complex multi-axis motion sequences without manual coding, providing instant 'drag-and-drop ' access to hundreds of standard programming routines and scripts.

When released, you will be able to log in to the EASII Experience (RPS) directly from your browser at: www.elmomc.com/support/elmo-rps.html. For more details, visit the website at www.elmomc.com.
