Elmo to showcase demos at SPS IPC Drives 2014

Elmo Motion Control will exhibit compelling demonstrations revealing fast, intelligent and accurate motion controllers and servo drives at SPS IPC Drives 2014, Nuremberg, Germany, in Hall 4, Booth #365 on November 25-27, 2014.

The demonstrations will include:

  • A Nano servo drive that runs a 4000W motor
  • Gantry Solution With two smart servo drives (making obsolete the need for additional multi-axis controller)
  • Elmo's integrated motors: a good way to eliminate the "cabling nightmar"
  • Closed loop stepper results with smooth ultralow speed at high torque

On exhibit will be Elmo's flagship Gold Twitter, described as the smallest, high-powered servo drive on the market today. Weighing just 18g and less than 13cm3 in volume, the Gold Twitter delivers up to 4000W of qualitative power, ultra high current of 50A/100V with advanced servo capabilities and support for EtherCAT or CANopen networking communication.

The Gold Twitter is part of the Gold Line of Servo Drives, an integral part of Elmo's motion control offering. The Gold Servo Drives offer outstanding performance with a rich selection of features: intelligent motion functions (OC, Master-Slave Follower, Modulo, Dynamic Braking, ECAM,PIP Cascaded Vector Control, I2t Protection); DS-402 profile modes (cyclic position, velocity and current); the ability to handle any feedback (incremental encoders, analogue encoders, absolute encoders, and resolvers); 1D/2D/3D error correction; up to 65kW of power, STO safety standard compliance; UL and IEC 61800 certification to 800V DC and 530V AC.

Easily set up and tuned using Elmo Application Studio II (EASII) software, the Gold Servo Drives operate as a single or multi-axis control system in a distributed configuration real-time network.

Elmo recently released its free online EASII Remote Practice System - RPS, providing users with the ability to practise advanced servo control, multi-axis systems and EtherCAT networking. The RPS allows the user to tune, program, and configure a complete application online with no need to purchase or install any hardware or operating system.

Elmo's robust motion control products will be on view at SPS IPC Drives 2014, in Nuremberg, Germany, taking place 25-27 November 2014 in Hall 4, Booth #365. Visit www.elmomc.com for further details.
