eloProtectM magnetic safety switches are robust and reliable

The sleek modern and compact design incorporates high-reliability components to achieve a long life expectancy. Two styles are available, namely 153 and 165, so elobau can offer magnetically actuated safety sensors to suit almost any machine application. The new innovative design also allows for mounting from either side.

Enhanced protection is ensured in two ways: additional circuitry has been incorporated to reduce the possibility of manipulation from a non-coded source, providing up to a PLe performance level when connected to a suitable safety relay; and tamperproof sealing plugs are fitted over the fixing screws. All materials provide IP67 and IP69K9 protection to comply with strict hygiene and cleaning requirements. Furthermore, the robust housing is also resistant to aggressive cleaning agents.

Each version offers increased sensing distances and allows for a greater misalignment value of between 3 and 5mm, which results in a reduction of any unwanted influences due to machine vibration. The improved design means elobau can now offer LED indication with the normally-open contact arrangement. There is also an option of an additional control contact.

Both versions are UL/CSA approved and are available with either direct cabling or a 100mm pigtail with an M12 connector.
