Emka Touch: biometric recognition for server cabinet security

A server cabinet resembles a safe where valuable information is stored. The frequently discussed protection of digital data therefore starts with the security of server cabinets against unauthorised access from outside. EMKA is offering one of the most simple and currently safest products with the new Emka Touch Technology.

Emka Touch: biometric recognition for server cabinet security

Biometric recognition via fingerprint is a feature, which is being used in a wide variety of security applications. Fingerprint technology as enjoyed by the latest smartphone generation is now also possible in the protection of individual server cabinets and complete data centres. Access via Emka Touch to a locked cabinet is executed within seconds by scanning the unique fingerprint of an authorised user.

Emka Touch combines the biometric recognition of its American technology partners DB Access Security with proven mechanical closure technology. Software is connected to the scanner integrated in the handle, which manages all fingerprints fail-safe with the respectively related access rights. In addition, a status information for each step is recorded and stored.
