EPLAN Fluid simplifies design of fluid power circuits

Rittal claims that engineering workflow is now even easier thanks to its new EPLAN development platform EPLAN Fluid. Countless new features make this successor to fluidPLAN an extremely useful fluid engineering tool. Designers and engineers working in fluid engineering, electrical project planning and instrumentation and control are now able to co-operate directly with one another.

Design times have been reduced due to the variant technology in EPLAN Fluid. Sets of technical values may be assigned to entire component circuits. Complex technical correlations may be parameterised in advance and selected in an instant. The last-minute change facility also allows substantial time savings to be made with the variant system, thereby ensuring that all technical dependencies are completely consistent.

EPLAN Fluid supports both a graphical engineering approach as well as a device-based (object-oriented) approach. The system suggests the best handling method for each individual work phase.

A multi-user function allows different users to work on the same project at different locations, across networks and even in different countries. Standards are also fully supported - with freely configurable project structures to DIN EN 61346 and component structures to VDMA standard.

EPLAN Fluid allows individual adaptation of the interface and work areas, via a configurator, to the project-planning task in hand. Script routines and the new API function allow documentation to be automated. New dynamic forms may be positioned directly on plan pages for the automatic generation of additional production documents.
