In this video the secrets of the hydraulic shaft-hub connection called ETP are revealed by Abssac.
A proven example of this is the ETP-EXPRESS product; this comprises a compact double-walled hardened steel sleeve with an integral flange containing a screw and piston - with reliable seals - to apply and maintain pressure. The steel sleeve also ensures excellent concentricity between the shaft and hub.
Having only one screw for pressurising and locking the shaft-hub connection makes the mounting and dismounting of the product extremely quick and efficient. Dismounting is simply achieved by loosening the screw, whereupon the ETP-EXPRESS returns to its original dimensions and can easily be removed or repositioned axially or rotationally. This feature is particularly useful for rapid repositioning of the hub in situ, such as with timing belt applications, where frequent adjustments may be required.
