Euchner Safety Services for machinery manufacturers

Euchner recognises that there are many processes and crucial stages that machine manufacturers must comply with to ensure European directives and national and international standards are achieved. To support machine builders on that journey, Euchner Safety Services provides professional solutions to support any machinery safety issues and concerns that may be encountered.

And with a team of highly qualified machinery safety experts on hand, Euchner can help OEMs meet legal safety requirements at every stage of machine and installation life cycles.

Machines and production facilities must be safe in accordance with applicable law and OEMs cannot sell a machine in the UK or European Economic Area until it has passed the conformity assessment process and received the appropriate marking.

Euchner Safety Services supports design engineers throughout the development stages to help them meet the legal requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC. Be it individual or complete services, Euchner offers assistance for every step of the process, from the crucial initial stages through to UKCA/CE marking.

Commenting, Euchner’s UK&I country manager David Dearden says: “The earlier you involve us in your machine building processes, the more you will benefit. Considering safety engineering aspects during the development phase can significantly reduce your workload further down the line and help you develop the safest possible machine design from the outset.

“We analyse and assess potential hazards and suggest measures you can take to reduce risks. We can then develop custom safety concepts and provide the assistance you may need to put the required measures into practice.”

With support from Euchner Safety Services, OEMs can rest assured that all relevant specifications have been implemented and their machines will meet the latest legal requirements, saving them valuable time and allowing them to focus on their core business.
