Europac 3D is celebrating after a successful few days at this year's TCT Show, which included taking two orders for the HP Multi Jet Fusion 4200 3D printer.

The company featured a host of product demos at its stand during the three-day exhibition, including the first live demonstration at a UK trade show of the HP Multi-Jet Fusion Technology 4200 3D Printer and Processing Station with fast cooling. Visitors saw first-hand the impact that HP Multi-Jet Fusion has on print speed: up to 10 times faster and up to 50 per cent cost per part reduction over competitive systems. Europac 3D had a range of HP PA12 high-reusability parts at the show, demonstrating the impact this technology has on printing concept models, form, fit and function models, jig and fixture parts, and low- to medium-volume end-use parts.

Europac 3D also launched its reseller partnership with Uniontech for its range of stereolithography 3D Printers. Uniontech is a market leader in competitively priced stereolithography 3D Printers, offering customers an open-source material platform for resins that can produce high-definition and accurate parts for the automotive, medical, aerospace, motorsport, consumer goods and defence markets.

3D scanning

Attendees also had the chance to see the UK's latest 3D scanners, including an exclusive view of the new Skyline integrated measuring arm and 3D scanners from Kreon, which is capable of capturing 600,000 pts/sec with an accuracy of 15 microns. Furthermore, various Artec products were exhibited, including the EVA and Space Spider, and Europac had the new Artec Leo on hand - which is said to be the fastest professional handheld 3D scanner on the market.

As well as showcasing the very latest in 3D printing and scanning, Europac 3D had a team of 3D printing and scanning specialists present to discuss all 3D printing and scanning requirements as well as supporting software including Geomagic and Polyworks, providers of 3D reverse engineering and metrology software.

John Beckett, Managing Director of Europac, comments: "We had a busy stand at this year's TCT show where attendees were eagerly awaiting the chance to see one of the UK's first HP Multi Jet Fusion printers in action, as well as host of other industry-leading products like the Artec Leo.

"We were amazed by the reaction with regards to the 3D printed Harris Hawk that was featured as a centrepiece in the main central aisle of the TCT hall. People were spending lots of time taking photos of the print and asking how we had managed to print the wings in 'full flight' at 1mm thick. The reaction on social media has been incredible and we are still getting reactions even now a week later.

"Our team was on hand to provide expert advice, answer any queries and provide live demonstrations to showcase the capabilities of the machinery we stock, which generated great feedback from those who visited the stand and progressed to further leads and sales, making for a busy Europac HQ this week."
