Filtramag+ - efficient filtration technology
Eclipse Magnetics is launching Filtramag+. Billed as the ultimate in filtration technology, the new product offers significant process efficiency advantages for precision metal machining processes such as grinding, honing, drilling and super-finishing.
With 100 years' experience in magnetic technology, Eclipse produces some of the most efficient and advanced filtration systems for removing potentially damaging ferrous particles from industrial fluids. Filtramag+ solves some of the traditional problems associated with metal machining applications by ensuring that oils and coolants run cleaner and for longer.
Filtramag+ incorporates a number of high-performance features such as Dual Flow Technology. This ensures that the fluid is exposed to the high intensity magnets for the maximum length of time without affecting flow, resulting in almost 100 per cent removal of ferrous contamination on the first pass.
Capable of operating at up to 20bar pressure, the patented Filtramag+ also features an optional mesh strainer for removing non-magnetic contamination. It also offers a number of advantages over traditional filtration media in terms investment payback, reduced environmental impact and production efficiency.
Filtramag+ requires no consumable items, which cuts costs and waste disposal in comparison with traditional filters such as paper or cartridge filters. Eclipse's high-intensity magnets ensure that even sub-micron ferrous particles are extracted, and this is a major advantage over traditional filters that typically only remove particles of 10 microns or greater. This significantly improves the part surface finish and wear and tear on machinery.
