Flexible conduit offers improved resistance to oil and heat
Flexicon is extending its range of spiral reinforced flexible conduit to include applications that also require oil resistance and protection from higher temperatures, in addition to water resistance and torsional movement.
Manufactured in the UK, Flexicon's FPC range is available in nominal sizes from 12-63mm. Typical applications include protection of cables within machines or other applications where there are high levels of torsional movement, such as with CCTV cameras.
Colour-coding enables easy identification of different properties within the range. All can be used for applications with temperatures ranging from -5degC to +70degC, while the new blue version can be used where a wider temperature range of between -20degC to +90degC is required. And the new green range denotes oil resistance, while the black range is UV-resistant. The whole range is self-extinguishing in the event of a fire and provides an IP65 rating when used with MPC fittings.
FPC flexible conduit fittings are available in metric, which are supplied with locknuts, and PG threads, with fittings available in straight, 45-degree and 90-degree elbow varieties.
