Flexitallic is to present a technical paper at the 2011 ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping Conference. The paper will focus on the combination of modern sealing materials that are available to assist in the reduction of flange deterioration, although the details will not be published until the conference.
As well as opinions and ideas, visitors from across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the Americas and the Oceania Islands will also get to learn about a variety of topics relating to pressure vessel and piping technologies for the power and process industries.
Held at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, the conference runs from 17-21 July 2011 and there are expected to be more than 150 paper and panel sessions, as well as workshops, tutorials, NDE, demonstrations and the conference's traditional student paper competition and symposium.
Russ Currie, an Applications Manager at Flexitallic, states: "We are extremely pleased to be having a paper published at this year's Conference. It is testament to our position as a global leader in the manufacture and supply of high-quality, high-value sealing solutions."
General topics being addressed and discussed during the Conference will include: codes and standards; computer technology and bolted joints; dsign and analysis; fluid-structure interaction; high pressure technology; materials and fabrications; operations; applications and components; seismic engineering; non-destructive examination; nuclear engineering; and the student paper competition and symposium.
The ASME Pressure Vessels and Piping Division is the primary sponsor of the PVP-2011 Conference, with additional participation by the ASME Non-destructive Examination Division (NDE) and the Nuclear Engineering Division (NED).
