Flir appoints new Distribution Manager for the South
Flir Systems has appointed John Reynolds to the new role of Distribution Manager for the South of the UK. Having secured an honours degree in electronic engineering in 2000, Reynolds joined City Electrical Factors as part of the internal sales team. His next move within the industry was to RS Components where, as Territory Sales Manager, he was responsible for managing a base of 2000 accounts comprising large blue-chip companies through to sole traders.
In July 2008 Reynolds joined Fluke UK as Area Sales Manager. Here he was responsible for managing the company's wholesale activities in the South East and this gave him his introduction to the world of thermal imaging.
Reynolds comments: "Flir's parallel development of both camera technology and dedicated software is massively important to the market. This gives the end user much greater application scope, justification for investment and swift return on investment. These benefits, combined with Flir's wide product range, give me excellent tools to grow the distribution base."
