Balluff is presenting a new series of pressure sensors with a flush-fitted stainless steel membrane for use with viscous liquids. They complement the existing line of BSP pressure sensors, and are the right choice wherever standard sensors are at their limit.
Thanks to the flush-welded stainless steel membrane, the sensors have no dead space and are especially easy to clean. This makes them suited for pressure measurement in paste-like, crystallising liquids or those containing impurities and solids.
The robust devices are equipped with a high-quality measurement cell with long-term stability, they are simple to install, easy to use and provide precise data. A large, bright, and thus highly visible display gives not only the current system pressure in choice of bar, mbar, PSI and MPa, but also provides fast and simple configuration of the sensors according to VDMA standards via two buttons and intuitive menu navigation.
With 11 pressure range variants, the flush BSP sensors seamlessly cover all important pressure ranges from minus 1bar to plus 600bar in the monitoring of process media in factory automation. The new Balluff pressure sensors are available with choice of two switch points or with one switching output with analogue output (0-10V or 4-20mA).
The pressure sensors have a rugged stainless steel housing, and for easy installation and use the display / control panel and the electrical connection can be turned independent of one another by 320 degrees relative to the flange. The process connection is made via a G- ½" external thread according to EN 3852.
