Free entry to Profibus and Profinet User Conference

To help UK industry in these difficult economic times Profibus UK is offering some valuable financial incentives to join the Profibus Group, including a limited number of free-of-charge day delegate places at the 2009 Profibus and Profinet User Conference. These places are offered on a first-come, first-served basis to companies joining The Profibus Group at the Regular or higher levels in the months prior to the Conference.

UK Chairman Bob Squirrell says: "To make the offer even more attractive we are waiving our usual 100 joining fee over the same period. That is an initial saving of around 250 plus the potential for further saving every time a member books places on our accredited Profibus, Profinet and OpenPLC training courses held in the UK."

Following the trend for its rapid acceptance in many industries worldwide, Profibus is said to be quoted as the specified protocol for future projects in most of the UK's water companies. This means that in most cases, new and refurbishment projects will be Profibus-based, and the water industry represents one of the most active sections of the UK instrumentation project market for 2009. Relevant framework suppliers are expected to provide Profibus-based approaches and use Certified Profibus designers and installers for their projects.

Discounted membership

Companies in and associated with the water industry will therefore find the discounted membership offer to be of particular interest, as members are eligible for discounted rates on the necessary staff training courses, including the Certified Profibus Installer, Commissioning and Maintenance and Engineer courses.

June 2009's Profibus and Profinet User Conference will provide an opportunity to exchange experience and meet other companies in the industry, and to find out about developments in Profibus techniques and equipment. Readers are urged to hurry to take up this offer as it can only apply while User Conference places are available. Further details of the Conference can be found at www.profi-bus.co.uk.
