Igus (UK) is giving away free samples of its cable carrier and Chainflex continuous-flex cable products as part of its newly-launched Sample Test Drive Programme.
The programme is aimed at OEMs who want to evaluate the performance of Igus' products before purchasing. It includes a free technical consultation with Igus on-site so that the optimal cable carrier or continuous-flex cable can be specified.
Igus is well positioned to assess applications: the company has 45 years' field experience and conducts more than 2000 tests on its Energy Chain cable carriers and Chainflex continuous-flex cables every year. These tests focus on push/pull forces, coefficients of friction, wear rates, drive forces and speeds under a wide range of demanding conditions.
The company has always offered free samples but has developed the new Test Drive concept to underline its confidence in and commitment to developing products that meet and exceed OEM customer expectations.
Justin Leonard, Product Director for Igus Energy Chain Systems, explains: "We want OEM machine builders to find out first hand why companies are switching to Igus. If you test one of our cable carriers or continuous-flex cables on your prototype machine and you like it, you keep it-absolutely free! It is that simple."
