Phoenix Contact is organising a series of free Electrical and Functional Safety training courses in 2015, following the success of similar courses held in previous years. The 2015 practical workshops are being run in conjunction with TV SD, Mechan Controls and Axelent.

Free training courses in electrical and functional safety

The one-day practical courses give delegates an overview of the following machinery safety standards:

  • EN 60204-1
  • EN 62061
  • EN ISO 14119
  • EN 953 / ISO 14120
  • EN ISO 13849-1
  • EN 349
  • EN 13857

Who should attend?

According to Phoenix Contact, the course would suit anyone who already has some basic electrical knowledge. It gives an introduction and simple overview of the key aspects EN 60204-1, Safety of machinery. Electrical equipment of machines. General requirements. This will enable people involved in panel design/build, electrical control systems, machinery refurbishment/upgrades, as well as industrial electrical systems installers to build or refurbish machinery control systems to a level that meets the standards.

  • 10 March 2015 - Old Trafford (Manchester)
  • 13 May 2015 - Madejski Stadium (Reading)
  • 14 July 2015 - Westerwood Hotel and Golf Resort (near Glasgow)
  • 3 November 2015 - Imperial War Museum, Duxford (near Cambridge)
