There are new 2008 International Standards for industrial platinum resistance temperature sensor tolerances and these are shown on the new wall chart from Labfacility. For the first time, tolerances are shown separately for wirewound and flat film sensing resistors and also for sensor assemblies.
050099DS/A, the new thermocouple and platinum resistance thermometry wall chart from Labfacility, provides a wealth of useful, practical data for engineers, scientists, technicians and students concerned with temperature measurement. Published in a convenient A4, two-sided format, the chart can be wall-mounted or filed in a folder as required.
One side, Thermocouple, includes cable and connector colour codes, tolerance classes and a shortform table of calibration values.
On the Platinum Resistance Thermometer side there are new tables of tolerance classes for wirewound and flat film platinum resistors and for complete assemblies the former table of tolerance classes A & B, termination colour codes and practical bridge circuits for two-, three- and four-wire versions. Stem conduction and self-heating are also described.
The wall chart is said to be invaluable as an up-to-date reference for anyone concerned with temperature measurement, and as a training aid. It is available on request, free of charge from Labfacility.
