At this year's Advanced Engineering UK, igus will be showcasing a number of new products on its stand (Hall 5, K42) that may help engineers realise more innovative designs and technical systems. One of the key highlights will be a small industrial robotic arm that has the new triflex RSE (retraction system electric) energy chain from igus integrated. Tailored specially for robots with small to medium load capacities, the igus triflex RSE retraction system prevents the formation of loops at the robot's wrist, even in highly dynamic applications.
dryspin is the new leadscrew drive technology developed by igus that enables engineers to achieve higher efficiency, quieter operation and longer lifetimes than with conventional leadscrew drive technologies. When supplied with a leadscrew nut made of iglidur J, the dryspin drives are self-lubricating and maintenance free, as well as being lightweight, resistant to dirt, chemicals and humidity. By eliminating lubricants, the drylin leadscrews are suitable for use in applications in hygienic environments. The leadscrew nuts are also available in iglidur A180, which conforms to FDA guidelines for the food and drinks industry.
In addition, a full range of ultra-lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) stock materials and 3D tribopolymer printing filaments that are up to 50 times more abrasion-resistant than conventional 3D printer materials, will be on show.
Throughout the Advanced Engineering UK show, which is held at the NEC in Birmingham and takes 3-4 November, technical experts at the igus stand (Hall 5, K42) will be on hand to provide visitors with practical advice and guidance on selecting igus products for their own specific application.
