HBM United Kingdom Limited now meets the international standard ISO 9001:2008 for its Quality Management System. The certificate was awarded earlier in 2011 following extensive internal and external audits.
HBM's head office in Darmstadt, Germany has been certified as meeting ISO 9001:2008 since August 1986. Jay Lakhani, a Senior Applications Engineer with HBM UK, says that it is increasingly important to demonstrate to its clients that the UK office conforms to the same standards has the necessary procedures in place to ensure consistent high quality.
Lakhani states: "There was a lot of hard work involved in meeting the certification criteria but we felt it was very important to meet our global clients' expectations for effective quality management."
