Heavy-duty load cell is approved as legal-for-trade
Variohm EuroSensor says that the ZEMIC BM14G4 compression load cell now has OIML R60 C4 accuracy class approval for legal-for-trade applications across its entire range of 10-50 tonnes. Aimed at heavy industrial weighing applications on mobile construction and mining equipment, rolling stock and hoppers, the IP68 stainless steel sensor already had OIML approval for 30-50 tonnes, so now there are smaller 10 and 20 tonne units for vehicle scales and weighing stations. The highly durable sensor has built-in surge protection and several other approvals including EMC and ATEX gas and dust.
As well as the new approvals, there is also now an optional installation kit for the BM14G4, containing all of the necessary parts to commission the load cell. The kit includes rocker supports, eccentric washers, an earthing cable, and hexagonal and Allen key bolts.
