Oregon Coast Aquarium's ozone filtration system uses the DesignFlex PSF103 high-current pressure switch to monitor the pressure within the critical filtration system

High-current pressure for critical filtration system

When the Oregon Coast Aquarium needed a reliable pressure switch for its Ozone Filtration system, they turned to the World Magnetics range of reliable switches. The USA manufacturer, represented exclusively in the UK by Variohm EuroSensor, supplied its DesignFlex PSF103 high-current pressure switch to monitor the pressure within the critical filtration system that supplies safe water to the many residents of the Aquarium.

The modular Designflex switch series has a wide range of standard options for mounting and porting, and is also easily customised for application-specific features. With a choice of polyurethane and Teflon diaphragms these options include field adjustable set point, controllable hysteresis for precise deadband setting, and factory calibrated versions for tamperproof use as well as full "military spec' versions. The range is characterised by a long working life and very high reliability. The full DesignFlex range includes ultra sensitive pressure, vacuum and differential pressure switches covering a pressure range from 0.1" H20 to 60psi (0.25 to 4137mbar).

Variohm EuroSensor provides a complete service for the DesignFlex range and is on hand to help customers choose the best pressure switches for their application. To find out more about the DesignFlex PSF103 high-current pressure switch, visit the website at www.variohm.com.
