HMK partners Siemens Industry Drives & Controls 2014
HMK Automation & Drives, an Integrated Drive Systems Distribution Partner for Siemens Industry, will showcase its full range of general and high performance drives, mechanical components and systems at the Drives & Controls show in April. The Siemens Integrated Drive Systems (IDS) concept will be on show on HMK's stand. The HMK team will demonstrate how customers can benefit from the quality and breadth of the Siemens integrated portfolio along with the professional engineering expertise and support offered by HMK.
Siemens' IDS meet the broadest range of performance requirements in all industry sectors and exceed expectations in applications from conveyor systems, mills, pumps, fans and compressors, through to complex multi axes high performance systems in production environments. The integration of all the components provides performance, reliability and cost effectiveness for the entire drive train.

New in the UK
New in the UK is SINAMICS V, offering a cost-effective option where a fully integrated drive is not required; standard VSD and servo variants are available. Where integration into the broader system brings benefit, SINAMICS G is a suitable option. For high-performance requirements, SINAMICS S meets the challenge, and is described as a feature-rich, high-speed deterministic engineered drives system.
HMK will also demonstrate its expanding mechanical range of components and products including Siemens Flender (Industrial motor gearboxes and couplings), Bahr (modular positioning systems), Neugart (planetary gearboxes), Atlanta (racks and pinions). In addition to these ranges, HMK will also showcase its ability to deliver an integrated engineered system.
For the first time, HMK will show its stainless steel actuator system aimed specifically at applications in food and pharmaceuticals handling, incorporating Bahr mechanics, optimised by the Siemens SIMOTION Handling Toolbox.
