igus UK is exhibiting at Offshore Europe 2013 to showcase its products specifically developed for offshore applications, such as the e-chain and chainflex continuous-flex cables. The high-performance materials igus uses in its e-chains and bearings are specifically developed to withstand the demands of harsh industrial environments - high/low temperatures, corrosion, humidity and dirt. Conventional steel-based systems are now being replaced with igus plastic e-chains in heavy duty applications, such as offshore, primarily down to their extraordinary capabilities.
