Impulse launches new range of high-performance panel PCs

Impulse is launching a new range of panel PCs based on the high-performance Intel HM55 system chipset and Intel Core i series processor. Combined with the energy efficient design of DDR3 SODIMM memory, the HM55 series is a platform suitable for machine control, building automation and information/kiosk applications.

Display sizes start at 15" up to 21.5" and include a number of resistive touchscreen configurations and optional protective glass. Multiple housing options are available including open frame, standard panel-mount, IP65 panel-mount and wall-mount. This choice in housing enables the HM55 series to be a versatile and long-term platform for OEM and system builders, allowing them to integrate their panel in to their own custom enclosure or kiosk.

The HM55 series features an extensive range of I/O including four USB2.0 ports, two RS-232 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port and dual gigabit Ethernet. For added expandability up to two Mini PCIe cards can be included, allowing for additional communication functionality such as WiFi, 3G, GPRS and GPS.

Impulse can configure the HM55 series panel pc to meet each customer's exact specification with a wide choice of processors, memory, storage and software options. Impulse can also assist in the creation of a custom Microsoft Windows Embedded operating system. For more information please contact our technical sales team on +44 (0)1782 337 800.
