In-house assessment centres develop technical staff competence
Working with a number of well-known companies across the food, drink, pharmaceutical and car manufacturing sectors, MCP are providing engineering maintenance skills assessment and development programmes. The "Centres' are established within the organisation and provide a thorough practical assessment of technical staff and support their own skills development programmes.
MCP's trainers also address safety issues ensuring staff are technically competent to work within their area of competence. A suite of assessments/interviews has been developed addressing generic skills for maintenance technicians. These cover:
- Safe isolation
- Fault finding using instruments
- Inverter set up and commission
- Basic programmable controller fault finding
- Electrical theory
- Scenario-based interviews to check response
