GB Media & Events, which is organising the Industry 4.0 Summit & Expo, has announced that Steve Brambley, the Chief Executive of GAMBICA, will chair the first day of proceedings at the Summit. He will be overseeing sessions on Made Smarter, Industry 4.0 Insights, and Essential Strategies to get Started. Early Bird pricing is available for Summit tickets until 25 February, and the event itself takes place on 10/11 April 2019 in Manchester.

If you are interested in exhibiting, there is still time to book a stand. Recent additions to the exhibitor list include Holovis, SMC, Panasonic and HMK Automation Group.

Intel is returning to the Expo for 2019, with two one-day workshops for the technical community to come and learn how to build computer vision applications utilising the OpenVINO toolkit. These are free-to-attend but places are limited, so early booking is recommended.

Industry 4.0 Academia Summit

The second Industry 4.0 Academia Summit Smart & Sustainable Manufacturing, running in partnership with the University of Manchester, brings together leading experts from academia, research and industry, to share knowledge and exchange experiences on smart, sustainable manufacturing and its societal and technological drivers and impact. The deadline for submissions has been extended to 1 February.
