iNspect Express version 1700 for BOA smart cameras
Stemmer Imaging is now supplying iNspect Express version 1700, an enhanced software package for the Dalsa BOA smart cameras that are also available from Stemmer. iNspect Express version 1700 provides for additional capabilities in automated inspection and quality assurance applications, for faster measurements and easier set-up for complex tasks that would otherwise require more expensive vision systems.
A key feature of iNspect Express version 1700 is that configuration is performed via a web browser, with no programming required. Enhanced performance comes from optimised algorithms for 360-degree search, optical character recognition (OCR) and 2D code matrix reading, plus improved calibration tools. In some applications, speed is improved by a factor of ten, and operation is more robust.
iNspect Express version 1700 also features a new PC-based application for displaying images and results from multiple BOA cameras on the same screen. Operatives can therefore monitor production, change job files and review the inspection history of any BOA camera connected to the local network.
For more complex applications, the built-in scripting tool has been enhanced with new functions and a syntax checker, a new string editor has been embedded to simplify integration with third-party equipment, and interactive tool management assists users during programming development.
