Internal hinges save space and present clean aesthetic

norelem is launching a new range of "invisible' in-frame hinges, giving engineers more choice, flexibility and design potential.

Fitted on the inside of the frame and completely invisible from the outside, they can be mounted left or right and vertically or horizontally to suit all applications. With a flat profile, they are also space saving, a vital consideration when installing inside housings. As added benefits, their "invisibility' reduces the risk of break-in and injury.

norelem's product portfolio already includes an extensive choice of aluminium and sheet metal hinges, including adjustable friction and detent spring and torque models with opening angles up to 270 degrees.

The new internal hinges for covered installation mark a significant addition and can be used for overlay and inset doors and hatches or hoods. They're available in three different versions with opening angles of 90, 110 and 125 degrees. Hinges with opening angles of 90 and 125 degrees are available in steel and stainless steel, while the version with an opening angle of 110 degrees is a reinforced type made from steel.
