John Vaines is new MD of Diamond Point International

Prior to this Vaines was for eight years UK country manager at SBS Technologies, one of the leading designers and manufacturers of open-architecture embedded computer products. Before that he held the position of sales manager at Diamond Point.

Sherman Kemmer, who will be taking more of a back seat after 12 years as managing director, says: "As we continue to expand our operations in the embedded systems market, it is timely that John should move up to steer the company through challenging times. John has proved to be an essential member of our sales and marketing management team and our growth under his guidance has been strong over the last two years, especially in the important military embedded systems market. I am confident that under John's leadership our strategy for even higher growth in the future will be realised."
