Hose-down tolerant, smooth bodied stainless steel motors will be exhibited by Lafert on stand A43 at the PPMA show (Sept 25-27 at NEC). The company's "Marlin' AC stainless motors are IP66 rated and are ideal for hygiene sensitive applications and proof of these qualities is demonstrated by a continuous hose-down demonstration on the stand.
Exhibits will also feature examples of Lafert's high performance servo motors, single/three phase motors and brake motors, plus various custom-engineered motors. Engineering solutions to satisfy specific requirements is the company's forte, with over 90% of production being non-standard product most of which are based upon one of the 20,000 shaft and flange options on the company's database and/or a non-standard winding.
Lafert's Marlin stainless steel AC motors are IEC-dimensioned, smooth bodied machines that can be supplied with compatible stainless steel gearboxes. Applications cover all those that require motors in hygiene-sensitive processes and finishes can be to 0.5RA.
Power ratings from 0.18 to 7.5 kW in frame sizes up to 132 as TEFC machines. Smaller units (up to 0.75 kW) are also available from 63 frame size as TENV machines.
Lafert's servo motors cover from 0.15 to 115Nm and can be supplied with a range of feedback options and terminal connections. Forced ventilation and a fail-safe holding braking are available as options. The brake is fitted in the flanged endshield and is equipped with permanent magnets and electromagnetic release.
Available speeds are 1200, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 6000rpm with acceleration and deceleration up to 90,000 rad/sec2.
