Lanner is introducing the LEC-7233, a compact fanless hardware device for manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Software-based thin client computing has now become ubiquitous in production automation, so too have the hardware appliances deployed at processing plants and manufacturing factories. Together with the availability of a variety of thin client management software, Lanner's industrial automation products, such as the LEC-7233, have evolved and improved in terms of flexibility and capability.
The LEC-7233, measured at 152mm × 30mm × 143mm, is a thin client gateway equipped with 3GbE LAN ports, 4 DIO ports, 2 COM ports and wireless connectivity via the built-in mini-PCIe, making it a multi-service communication gateway well suited for manufacturing execution systems (MES).
Powered by the dual-core Intel Celeron N2807 SoC (codenamed Bay Trail), this particular box PC offers the following features:
While most have yet to grasp the concept of Industry 4.0, the introduction of the LEC-7233 reiterates Lanner's commitment to providing intelligent manufacturing systems for MES, machine vision and factory automation, bringing early system testing and adoption to Lanner's strategic partners for realising most Industry 4.0 applications.
