Lee Spring expands Lite Pressure spring series
Lee Spring is expanding its Lite Pressure stock compression spring series. Lite Pressure compression springs offer responsive action under light loads and the expanded product line gives customers a wider choice of springs with larger outside diameters, and even lighter pressures. New springs are available in 1psi, 2psi, 3psi and 4psi ranges, so the complete Lite Pressure series now includes springs in the 1psi to 15psi range, with incremental choices in between.
Lite Pressure compression springs are advantageous when a relatively low spring rate or workable load is needed in dimensions not normally available in a conventional compression spring. This makes the Lite Pressure Series more responsive or sensitive to lighter loads than conventional compression springs.
All of the Lee Spring Lite Pressure springs are made of passivated and ultrasonically cleaned 316 grade stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance. Lee Spring CEO Steve Kempf states: "By expanding our stock range and having more selection in inventory, we are eliminating the need for a customer to wait on a custom-designed spring. Having a product that can meet a very specific need in stock and available for shipment is a great advantage to an engineer or buyer that is trying to test or source a product."
