The Lenze stand at the Drives & Controls exhibition in April will demonstrate how matched drives and controllers can make a total machine automation system simple to create. The Lenze "Easy Machin" shows a combination of central and decentralised control for multiple axes of standard asynchronous and servo synchronous geared motors. Low-cost CanOpen and high-performance real-time EtherCAT buses are combined to achieve necessary motion paths that move a series of silver balls around a 3D profile. Motion software from the Lenze FAST suite of application-based programs reduces the programming time.
Marketing Manager Geoff Spear explains: "Although the Easy Machine itself has no industrial purpose, it does show how Lenze drive, control and software products can combine to create a full automation system. Product interfaces are matched which saves the machine builder time and money".
Visualisation for the Easy Machine is provided with two operator stations from the new v800 series. These IP65 enclosed displays have a smooth stainless housing suiting areas with hygienic requirements. Clear screens are available with sizes from 17 to 24 inches. The v800 range is available for use as an external monitor or with a powerful IPC for machine control.
