Lenze helps boost machine availability

Lenze offers an easy-to-implement, scalable solution to boost machine availability that turns productions more transparent.

It’s important to keep a clear view of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Many companies don’t keep track of downtime causes, and/or they are not aware that even smaller production interruptions can considerably impact on output in the longer run.

Lenze’s OEE solution that is essentially PLC-based. The PLC itself has all the relevant data. All that is needed is to put OEE calculation software on it to convert the data into useful information. The results can then be visualised in real time via pre-configured dashboards on a HMI.

Proactively spot production issues

The Lenze OEE solution utilises the available real-time data to bring current machine performance into focus and helps, among other things, to quickly (and proactively) spot production issues

The Drives DataHub software package creates a gateway between Lenze inverters and an IIoT infrastructure. The high-resolution data from the Lenze drives is a sound basis for data analytics and for applications such as condition monitoring and predictive maintenance. Thus, the Drives DataHub contributes to more transparency of machines and the obtained data can help to raise machine availability.
