Lenze has opened a new system house in St Helens to provide customer support in panel building and automation for the whole of the UK. The engineering and sales team will bring together expertise in the areas of automation, drives and panel building. This new operation mirrors the existing service provided by Lenze partners in Germany and Austria.
Derek Clark, Lenze Systems Manager responsible for the St Helens operation, comments: "As a drives provider, we are well placed to identify developing trends in customer demand. Our new facility will deliver a highly engineered complete automation solution that is cost-effective."
Services available from the new Lenze system house include application evaluation, technical advice, a structured proposal and panel building. Lenze application engineers can write customised software, for example to suit front-end operator visualisation. Hardware includes PLC and IPC controllers, drives and products running right through to contactors and relays. Small and large panels can be handled, even in high volumes, with international support from the Lenze Group.
The bringing together of controller, drive and panel building knowledge offers savings to customers. A panel containing Lenze drive and automation products can have lower costs. There are time-saving advantages from the easier communication between the customer and the system house. Similarly, when it comes to commissioning, a single engineer has the knowledge and responsibility for both the drives and the automation controls.
