Linear screen feeder grades fruit gums for correct size

With well known brands and products in the food, beverage, confectionery and nutrition segments, one of the world's leading companies in the nutrition, health and wellness sector approached Podmores with a production problem. Podmores responded by developing a linear screen feeder to handle and grade fruit gums.

This linear screen feeder grades the fruit gums by removing the oversize and under-size products, leaving the bulk of the in-specification products ready for the next process. The bespoke equipment consists of precisely engineered bar screens that allow the graded product to be discarded into three different chutes so that the required product size is obtained. This is the largest screen feeder supplied by Podmores to this customer so far; over the last 20 years Podmores has also supplied various other equipment to the same company.
