Linescan camera acquires RGB and monochrome or NIR images

Alrad Imaging is now supplying the new ELiiXA UC8 Colour Linescan camera. This has four 4096-pixel linescan elements on a single piece of Silicon, which enables both colour RGB and either a monochrome channel or near-infrared signal to be acquired at the full 18kHz line rate from a single CameraLink camera.

The camera package is designed to increase efficiency and save cost at vision system level thanks to the following features:

  • Easy calibration (test pattern, flat field correction, white balance, excellent mechanical alignment)
  • Versatile implementation (trigger modes, output modes, bi-directional scanning, spatial correction)
  • Optimal mechanical design (70mm width)

Furthermore, with an all-in-one approach, a single ELiiXA camera can replace a two-camera system consisting of a conventional colour camera and a monochrome or NIR camera, thereby offering the potential to save costs.
