Live demos of PULS DIN-rail power supplies and PoE injectors

The PULS DIN-Rail power supply range includes: Single-Phase Power Supplies, Three-Phase Power Supplies, DC/DC Converters, Buffer Units, DC-UPS Battery Modules and Redundancy Modules. PULS can also provide COTS, part and fully customised units and conformal coated ruggedised versions for operating in harsh conditions.

PULS will be running live demonstrations of their key design features and PoE functionality on stand J5 at the Engineering Design Show, 16-17 October 2019 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry. A live comparison between PULS DIN-Rail power supplies and competitors' products, running at the same input voltage and load, will graphically show how the ultra-high efficiency design of the PULS units produce less heat in the enclosure ensuring improved reliability and reduced cost of ownership.

The PULS SmartFab Box will also be running live at the show. This innovative diagnostics tool makes the power requirements and thermal conditions in systems and installations transparent. It allows users to check and specify their power budgets directly on their own systems, live and completely securely. The SmartFab Box is available to PULS customers free of charge for a limited period or it may be leased for longer term analysis of the effects of changes or improvements to power systems. This unique user service aids the selection the correct system power supply avoiding over specifying excessively large power reserves.

The third demonstration will be to see PULS DIN-Rail PoE converters in action. The CP10-PoE1 PoE injector offers system builder's maximum integration and simplicity of installation. The CP10-PoE1 is available with up to 8 ports and features an integrated premium power supply while measuring just 77mm wide. This AC input injector can do what normally requires a combination of at least two devices, reducing costs, installation time and space required on the DIN Rail.

A wide range of standard DIN-Rail power supplies will also be on the stand including the 90W PIM90 power supply which offers outstanding price/performance for smaller systems. This product range has been introduced to meet the needs of a growing market for compact, no-frills, low-power DIN-Rail units for "point of power" applications.

Marco van der Linden, UK Country Manager, for PULS comments: "We are using our appearance at EDS 2019 to prove beyond all doubt that we manufacture the highest performance, efficiency and reliability DIN-Rail power products on the market. This reduces operating costs, downtime and service issues ensuring our products deliver the lowest cost of ownership available to system builders in industrial, building automation and control systems."
