Low fire hazard liquid-tight flexible conduit from Flexicon

Flexicon's new liquid-tight flexible conduit LTPLFH has an IP rating of up to IP69k and a low fire hazard rating. As a low fire hazard product, LTPLFH is highly flame retardant, has low smoke emissions, low toxicity, is halogen, sulphur and phosphorous free and is self-extinguishing.

It has a galvanised steel core, which provides a high mechanical strength and a low fire hazard (LFH) polyolefin outer sheath that is oil resistant. The conduit has also been vibration and shock tested to EN61373, and can withstand temperatures from -25degC to 90degC.

LTPLFH is suitable for any applications where low fire hazard performance is required, such as public buildings or any area where the public has access. It has "˜Authorised for use' status on the London Underground Approved Products Register and offers compliance with LU standard 1-085 for limited and dispersed applications.

When combined with Flexicon's ATEX and IECEx EX d barrier gland, LTPLFH is also suitable for hazardous areas. It can be used for Ex d, Ex e and Ex t applications; in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas where group A, B or C gases are present and Zones 21 and 22 where explosive dust may be present.

Tim Creedon, sales and marketing director for Flexicon, says: "As a company we have more LUL-approved flexible conduit systems than any other manufacturer, and this launch further enhances this choice. In addition, as a UK-based manufacturer we can respond more quickly to projects with product and technical help, and can accommodate specials more quickly, whether to supply bespoke lengths or perhaps even ready made assemblies."

Flexicon's liquid-tight flexible conduit LTPLFH is available in diameters ranging from 16mm to 32mm, with coil lengths in either 10m and/or 25m. For further information please email sales@flexicon.uk.com, or visit www.flexicon.uk.com.
